Another call today from 413-624-7688 on one of the family's cell phones. We have NO financial accts tied to either of these numbers, so its obvious they are just going through the list of numbers in this area code. Ironically, they haven't tried our main number - yet.
Another day; another NEW number to block. This one came in on our home business line. We have NO ADS running currently, so this is just another SCAM. Picked up but said nothing; DEAD AIR of a robocall on the other line.
Looked in my SPAM CALL LOG. Previously, on August 2nd, we got another call with ID of "COLRAIN, MA" from 413-624-7168. That one was the phony "Free Home Security System" SCAM. That number is now blocked. Will be blocking this new one, too.
COLRAIN is a TINY, SLEEPY LITTLE TOWN in the middle of 'nowhere' in the mountains with **NO** entities that would be offering either of these things; there are NO big companies/businesses of this type there. We know NO ONE there; its the kind of place that if you blink driving through it, you miss it. Likely SPOOFED # (ILLEGAL for these purposes) by SCAMMERS from INDIA, PAKISTAN, NIGERIA, The BAHAMAS, etc. SCUMBAGS.
Also note: we got another 'new number' SCAM call this AM from "CRANE, MO" at 417-892-5472; likely the SAME SCAMMER source, just spoofing different numbers. That one was the "Microsoft Computer Virus" SCAM. We've blocked over 500 numbers; these THIEVES have to keep using new ones to even get through to us!
