Incredibly dissappointed to hear that this is a scam. I just received a phone call from them asking if "the veterans could count on me for some type of donation." My father is former military so I figured I would listen. After he mentioned there are 3 "levels" of donations, gold for $50, Silver for $30 and Bronze for $25 he said he would send a sponsor letter and return envelope so I said that I would be alright with that so I can look over the options.. he THEN proposed a $15 donation and wanted me to commit over the phone. I said I was nice enough to let him talk and that I was even willing to look over the info. But if I am being pressured so much over $15.... I think my donation is better spent elsewhere. It really irritates me to hear about a scam that allegedly claims they are helping military retirees... GET A LIFE!!!
