Google spam wanting to "guarantee" a front page spot on google. Recorded message then told to press one for a human. Before human could get into sales pitch we told him to remove the phone number from their list and he hung up in our ear.
I get many calls from many different area codes for the same scam. It's so bad and so frequent that I have forwarded my business line to a cell phone with Extreme Call Blocker on it. The do not call list is not enforced at all . Beware of talking to anyone you don't know. I am an IT professional and I still have customers that get the email scam and actually call these people and get their computer infected. All of the out of state calls I get are scams since our business is local . I am a security expert for networks. Don't fall for ANY of this stuff no matter how well they talk. It is all a scam. If you are called and someone says that your computer is infected, it's a major scam. Microsoft does not call and could care less. NO ONE knows whether you are infected or not. If you see a pop up to call one of these scammers, restart your PC immediately and do not call.
