Just received call from this number. I called back knowing it may be a spam/scammer, hut case. Sure enough, receiver answered...dead silence, clicking noise in background. I hung up. They're probably monitoring 800notes to get their kicks.
Generally, if I see an odd area code, no message, I immediately blow it off--so block the number for future "No call/reject" reference. Also do google search before doing so. Bingo! 99/100 spam/scammer, data miner, etc. People like that want to invade your privacy, rip-off the gullible/antagonize. Jerks--don't dare look in the mirror at their own lives.
Found that someone at this number called my work phone and left a message yesterday. Voicemail sounded like a prerecorded female voice asking if I wanted to renew my car warranty and asked to press 1 to speak to a representative. They hung shortly after as it was my voicemail.
Don't answer! It's a scam. They will ask for your personal information to "renew your warranty." Really they are using it to scam you and get sensitive info. If you ask them what your car is, normally they have no idea...therefore, they would really have no idea that your so called car warranty is up.
Received a recorded message from this number telling me the warranty on my car is going to expire soon and I should get an extended policy. There's only one problem - I DON'T OWN A CAR. So, I presume this is a scam. Beware.
