Robodialer with prerecorded message who called a business line.
Sounds like a confidence scheme preying on the willingness of desperate people to believe that this faceless recorded voice calling out of the blue actually has access to information that could make them $10,000 or more per week. To most with any presence of mind, that seems not even remotely likely. Especially when the recorded message does not even provide any specific identity from which one can deduce a source of the call. Worse yet, based upon the desire to get somebody to press a button, they are probably also selling the number information they gather to folks interested in numbers where live parties answer. In a world with scammers likely like these, there is one truth - scammers lie, press nothing. Based upon your time constraints and resources, just hang up or keep their autodialer from continuing down to the next potential victim on its call list by otherwise occupying it with dead air and no responses, even if just for the a short while.
So, in a nutshell, if you actually are that desperate person looking for cash, responding to this certainly sounds like one of your best super fast direct shortcuts to losing some or all of your hard earned money to a probable scammer who is also likely a criminal.
Remember, if it seems too good to believe, it almost always is.
New number, same BS about drop what I'm doing and listen to his bull. This stopped for a while but he's back in full force. Third number with the exact same recording in two weeks.
As soon as you pick up an arrogant prick commands you to "Stop what you're doing and listen carefully to this important message!" The number 1 guaranteed way to get me to not pay attention to you is to command me to over the phone anonymously. I've heard this spiel from countless other numbers...sounds like some sort of illegal pyramid scheme.
