I've been swearing like a sailor at Brian Kopsich for years and he won't leave us alone. I got call blocking just so I could block his number, but it doens't work.
This guy calls where I work, which is a small bar restaurant. He is absolutely annoying. He asks for the owner/president/manager. Again, our place is a smaller one and they are NOT there all the time and when they are, they are dealing with reps for orders and our patrons. Of course his favorite time to call is in the middle of lunch and the beginning Friday Fish Fry dinners. Sometimes he calls multiple times a day and refuses to leave a message for a call back.
Yesterday he called during a slower time and I was actually able to pressure him into giving me some information. Of course he wasn't happy that I flat out told him (and it wasn't the first time) that we are an restaurant establishment and he calls at the worst possible times so he'll NEVER speak to who he wants when he calls, he would have to leave a call back number along with what it is regards to. His initial response was he's contacted restaurants before and never had a problem and that he's on the phone from 8am to 8pm. By the end of the call, I had him frustrated enough he hung up. Seems pretty unprofessional for someone who claims to be looking for donations!
SO... he claims he's calling from a local Milwaukee area called "Call in on Crime" which is support for missing kids and the Amber alert system.
This "company" doesn't come up with a google search and I tried many variations. I also checked the Better Business Bureau and there is nothing listed there. If it was a legitimate company actually supporting Amber Alert they should absolutely be easy to find!
I question the private name on caller ID, I realize this is a tactic for getting around No-Call lists, but the info he supplied is absolutely no better than the "organizations" requesting money for police and fire departments that never give the money to the police and fire departments!
I did do a name and CCAP search. If this "Call in on Crime" exists, they should have checked that! This number calls and never leaves a message. Today I picked up and he said he was calling for an Amber Alert supporter. I have talked to him before and tried to find out about :Call-in-on-crime" but it doesn't exist. This guy is a scamer and a leach.
Every year... he calls. Day after day. Many times a day. I also don't answer and have also looked up Call in on Crime to find it doesn't exist. Very annoying. Did I say VERY ANNOYING???
So this guy was calling repeatedly towards the end of 2014 and we threatened to call the Milwaukee police dept on him for being a scam artist. He stopped calling for about a month... now i see hes back at it. He wont give any info and only says he will talk to *the owner*.
