The caller mumbled the name of the group, but they are an anti-abortion group who somehow got my name and number even though I pay to have the line they called in on UNpublished. Sure would like to know what their source was. They called on a Sunday afternoon. I suggested that they should have been aborted and hung up. (Calls placed back to that number do not ring.) Not sure if they are non-profit, but they probably claim to be.
"unpublished" simply means your TSP (Telephone Service Provider) hasn't printed any phone books and doesn't give out your phone number to 411 calls.
Anyone who you gave your phone number to might have given it to someone else. And that someone else might have given it to yet someone else ... and that's how these telemarketing pests get your phone number and name.
