Just received a call from this number for a Direct Buy grand opening in my city. I'm on the do not call list and have not received a telemarketing call in years. Claimed that I would be receiving free tablet if I just showed up to their so-called extravaganza. Woman on the phone clearly from an international call center. I refused, of course.
Just got a call from that number. Said they are from NRL (or something like that) and that it is not a sales call. They are opening a location in Draper, UT and running a promotion. Told them that their call is illegal due to Do not call list - claimed is not a sales call. The lady got pretty unfriendly when I told her that she is breaking the law and I intend to sue them.
Same deal "Southwest Airlines opening a reservation center in Ontario, Calif" Some guy with an accent from The Simpsons claiming to be "right here in California" inviting me to an extravaganza with free tickets to Las Vegas or San Francisco if i attended the opening of "Great Destinations". Ive been through this before with Gold Rush Getaways: "become a travel agent and save on travel" The REAL cruise line people, "CLIA", got wind of this and shut 'em down as fraudulent. If you want to be a travel agent, just get a license and open an agency: SCAM
I received a call from this number and the same people a month ago with the number of 619-272-9577. They both claimed to be from NRL Getaways having an open house in the same city. I don't know how many open houses a place can have a couple months apart. They were asking all sorts of questions to see if I "qualified" for their trip to attend a presentation. I think they are fishing for personal information to take over people's identity. I still have yet to find a company with this name online near me to find out more about them and I would think if it was legitimate, they would at least have a website to advertise their "great" services. I received a call on my cell phone from this number and they said they were from Southwest Airlines and they were opening a new reservation office in Palm Desert, CA and wanted to offer me two free tickets to either San Francisco or Las Vegas. The lady who was on the phone could hardly speak english and I had to ask her to repeat everything. This was also a stalling tactic on my part so I could google the phone number which is how I found this website while I was on the phone with her. Definitely sounds like a timeshare scam to me. Told her I was on the Do Not Call list and then said she should google the phone number so she could see what kind of company she is working for and then I hung up.
