This is a scam. They call me saying I owe on a payday loan. I don't have a payday loan. I get a call at least four times a week some calls starting as early as 730 in the morning. Telling me they are sending someone out to get me at my home or work. They tell me this everytime. If this was true where are they. I call FTC, and they also said this is a scam. GIVE THEM NOTHING.
They said a friend of mine owed money to a cash advance place and had attempted forgery using my information. They threatened both of us with legal action. My friend who owed the money could get up to 24 months in prison and I was elegible for 36 months myself as the victim of identity fraud. He asked me if I had an attorney or if I would like to use his services. He also said he would subpeona me into court. He speaks with such a heavy accent and so quickly that I could barely understand anything he was saying, just bits and pieces. My friend contacted the Attorney General's Office and they said they would love to find these people because they have had numerous complaints. What happens here is they breach the databases of legitimate businesses and get enough information on you or your friends to make you question what is going on. Do not be fooled and do not give them money! If you can get a physical address on them, call your State Attorney General's Office right away.
