Who called from 4152292327

I receive at least three calls a day from 415-229-2327, never leaves a message. Message boards show this to be TechRepublic. Next time will explain that I don't want them to call me again. Ever.

My caller ID says: Caller ID: TIPPIT for the same number.  However I do belong to TechRepublic.

This is either someone that can scan Skye numbers, which I just signed up for, or my cell phone services provider, and is trying to sell me call blocking services.  This number, 415-229-2326, 415-229-2327 and 415-229-7568 have no other purpose then to harass the user to buy call blocking services.  There is a pattern here.  The provider introduces the services they want to sell (this is how Caller ID, Privacy Manager, toll-free numbr blocker, “unregistered” number blocker, and others became so popular), and so they hire these companies (this particular one is located in SF) to call phone numbers via a scheduled, automated system to continue to harass you.  Solved this on my land line by purchasing Panasonic equipment that blocks unwanted calls of all kinds, because the land line services provider was the one initiating the harassing calls, to sell call-blocking (packaged with some other services) and thus drive up my monthly bill and their revenue streams...This explains the weird response when they are called, or when they call you, they don't really care if you call them, or if you are the person that they are looking for, this isn't their purpose in life...They want to harass you until you exhibit the behavior that they’re trying to elicit – in this case, to buy call blocking.  Right now they’ll sell you specific number blocking and later they’ll sell you 800, private, toll and “unregistered” number blocking, one by one at what appears to be inexpensive additional service charge to your existing services, and then add each one as an additional service charge…Same pattern in land lines, now moving to cell phones and soon to VOIP…They hide behind the guise of a survey company, financial services company and others, but they are in fact telemarketers hired to harass you into buying a service, they spend millions in lining these campaigns up and the results work for them, hence the harassing calls…
