These people claim to be lawyers, and say you have a warrant for you arrest, something to do with not paying on a payday loan, (never applied or received one)
This was the first of 7 calls from area code 415 (which stood out because I live on the East Coast and do not typically make or receive non-local calls at the office). I received this call on 2/17/15, did not answer, and no message was left. The next day, I received 1 call from 415-634-6116 and 3 calls from 415-322-1199, the first two calls were 15 minutes apart and the second two calls were 2 minutes apart. I was not in the office to receive the calls. No messages were left. This morning 2/19/15, I saw the same area code come up again 415-413-2311 so I answered. A woman with a heavy accent asked for me by my middle name and incorrect job title. I did not correct her, just said there is no person by that name at this number. She asked to be forwarded to the person and I hung up. 5 minutes later, she calls back, but this time has my name correct, but still has the wrong title. I asked what her call was regarding and she said she wanted to email me articles that may be interesting to managers or directors at my university. I said no thank you, please remove me from your calling list and do not email me.
