My call came from 202-470-3404 anyone else get a call from this number stating they were audited by the IRS and they were filing charges in court today for fraudulent taxes and to expect to be served today by the police department? Also stated my bank accounts will be frozen as well as they were putting a lean on my property car and contacting my employer to garnish my wages within the next hour an a half. THey rambled on siting some tax laws and stated I was going to owe thousands of $$ as well as attorney fees and sited amounts then when I asked questions the guys stated that he couldn't believe I did this all for 3000. how did I think I was going to ever get away with it didn't I think that they (IRS) would find out! When I questioned him about what the amount was for he kept referring to the gibberish he rattled off during the call and ended up telling me I was wasting valuable tax payer time by asking questions to just sit and wait for the police to show up to the door with the documents and I would know exactly what it was about! I reported this to IRS at TIGTA.gov immediately and hopes that they will be shut down ASAP.
got a message about legal action.But for what? no idea. I called this number from a private no and asked who they are?. Person said IRS. I asked him his name.He said Ritesh sharma.I told the guy IRS never calls people and I don't believe you . Stop bothering people and shut -up.To My surprise he said f***** you .Which made very clear that they are 100% no govt agency.
I got a call from this number which is claimed from IRS and asked me to return the call or they will take a legal action against me. I called back several times but nobody anwsered. I suspect this is a scam.
Received call from this number. Called back from secure line, answered IRS investigations, Officer Scott. When I asked for ID#, she hung up. Got the same electronic message twice yesterday saying that I should return call or face IRS legal action. I blocked the number after returning the call and no one answered. I have no problem with IRS.
