Got a message on my phone from Michael Davis stating he was with DEA narcotics division and that I needed to contact him immediately regarding an "ongoing investigation." Glad I read these posts! Will block the number.
Got a call from 415-251-7129 on 18 Dec 12 stating they were a DEA officer doing an online investigating. We hung up and certainly didn't give them any info. Google search came back where this scam is ongoing where the fake agent is asking for money to "clear the arrest record". Caller said he was from San Francisco, CA.
I too received a suspicious call today from 415-251-7129 , the individual wanted to speak to me, my wife answered the phone first and asked who they were , they hung up in here. Then they called back , she said he identified himself but wasn't very clear who he was he used the title of Lt.
I reluctantly answered the phone , the man identified himself as a DEA agent and then asked me to take his information down , I told him I needed to get pen and paper , he then went into some garbage about buying AMBIEN over the phone before , his accent was odd and the call seemed disjointed. I told him I didn't buy medications over the phone , and he wanted to ask me again so he could record it so he could give the info to the attorney general concerning my case. ...whatever dude , I don't buy meds online or anywhere else but from my local Walgreens. This is a SCAM he suddenly went from wanting me to have all his info , to oddly wanting to hang up after I refused admit or say the right thing. SCAM CITY ,, BEWARE FOLKS.
I got a phone call earlier today from a 'Special Agent' Mike Davis with the DEA wanting to ask me a few questions related to an on-going criminal investigation. First I don't think any DEA agents speak with an obvious Middle Eastern/Indian accent; Secondly, I did have a problem in 2004 with prescription painkillers that I ordered over the Internet so I'm sure that is how they got my number. So I called them & asked for Special Agent Davis-before he could get a word out I told him that if he or any of his dope peddling buddies called me again I would report the entire incident to the head of my town's vice/narcotics unit...he tried to interject but I told him to shut up that I wasn't finished with him...he hung up on me so I went ahead & called my buddy in narcotics & he said that it was definitely a scam preying on people who had ordered meds using on-line pharmacies (he is aware of my past so I felt comfortable talking about it)...so here-I am reporting it
I got the same message from DEA LT. Michael Davis, that I had ordered some pills along time ago and they were coming to arrest me or I could get them 1300 dollars today and they would drop it, I knew right then it was bull crap. Got the call today on 12'22/12. Had me going for a minute.Idiots!!! Said not to tell no one and they would meet me to get the money,, I thought yeah right, I wont buy anything on line any more,lol. GEEZ
