My 92 year old mother has been receiving phone calls for week from an Indian accent stating they were IRS investigation.
I called them back at 415-251-8791 an it was indeed an Indian accent. I was not very nice to him. I couldn't understand him very well, but asked him who he was attempting to reach without giving him my name or any information. He kept saying thathe was trying to reach emom or emam something like that. I told him I didn't understand and he hung up on me. How can this happen in this country constantly without incrimination.....this [***] needs to stop.
I have received three calls from this number. Two on Saturday (1 vm) left & one today (vm left). Same vm that says, "Revenue Service. Don't disregard this message and do return the call before we take any legal allegation against you. Good bye & take care." The word "Internal" is cute off of the recording. Also, the way this English is worded, you can tell that someone who isn't an English native speaker translated this from a different language. The caller has an electronic voice. More than likely this is spam, scam, etc. 415 is a San Francisco area code.
We have received 2 calls in the past 2 days. We got one this morning at 6:50am. Still in bed. These people need to be stopped. So much for the donotcall list.
Called twice yesterday and LMTCB saying it was Heather Gianerman (or something similar). Scared the u kno what out of my wife. I figured it was BS and glad I looked this up. Thanks for the stream - I feel better! Lost sleep over this last night! With a nickname like Bubba from Alabama, you know we don't like no BS - especially from the government! I am so tempted to call them back and pull a "Roy D. Mercer" on them! Some of you might know what/who I'm talking about but for the rest - I would, in my best southern lingo and accent, threaten to open up a 55 gallon drum of Whoop Asx! That could be fun! Saying "Just how big an ol' boy are you? Ain't nothing for me to whoop a little man's asx!!" But - my conservative Christian roots won't let me - right now, anyway.
