Do consider maybe getting a call blocking device or phone.. You can google them and many are around $60.00 or so.
i had the same phone call today and called back but it went straight to the voice mail. i believe its a scam too since i do everything i need to do the right way.
Just got a call from the 415-251-8821 stating that they were the IRS and collect a debt. I am already paying the IRS on a payment arrangement and they always communicate by mail. I am glad I am not the only one. As soon as I asked questions about who he was he kept asking for my file number. I told him I dont have a file number. He spoke hardly any English and very difficult to understand. Don't fall for this scam or give any information.
They left two messages. Both pre-recorded that didn't wait for the beep. recording was so bad could barely hear it. Figured if I was going to be sued (or whatever, I couldn't tell) they could afford better equipment or call in person.
