I received a text from this number in response to a CL ad. The caller went on to propose one of those cashier's check scams that would have likely required me to provide bank account information or some crap. I tried to call the number and it was some internet "global voice" Voice Over Internet Protocol (VOIP).

AFTER PLACING A CRAIGSLIST AD THIS WAS THE FIRST RESPONSE I GOT NOTICING IT WAS FROM OUT OF STATE I GOOGLED THE NUMBER AND FOUND OUT THEY HAVE TRIED TO SCAM OTHERS. I KNEW RIGHT AWAY ONCE I SAW THEIR STUPID "I WILL SEND A CASHIERS CHECK AND INCLUDE SHIPPING" THAT THEY WERE TRYING TO BURN ME! WONT HAPPEN BE WARNED THEY ARE CROOKS...LOW LIFES ! THAT CANT MAKE MONEY LIKE REAL WORKING PEOPLE.
Same phone number tried to scam me also on CL. Wanted to send cashiers check also for some bar stools I was selling. He tried like hell to get more personal information. The phone number came up VOIP 1-415-295-2142 San Rafael, California. He did all this, texting only. Be Aware!!!!!
