I just got this call on my work phone. The caller didn't introduce herself or her company. She asked to speak to our IT Manager. I didn't even check before telling her he was not in the office. She then proceeded to ask for people by name, four names. None of these people have ever worked in this office. After telling her after each one they did not work here, she started singing. SINGING. I laughed and hung up.
Received a call from this number, from someone working for a company called IT Brief - not really familiar with them, but they said they were just doing an update and sending out some whitepapers. For some reason I went ahead and answered their questions. Thankfully so far just the whitepapers in my email, hoping they keep their word about this being a one-time thing.
These people are very persistent and have used many different phone numbers in their marketing attempts. They never leave a message, so it can't be very important.
Called first time (went throught receptionist) and asked for Customer Service Mgr. She hung up on him, so he called back and it rolled to my phone. Did not even introduce himself-name or company name. I meant to put him on hold until he hung up, but accidentally (?) disconnected the call. LOL. Oh, well. Maybe he'll get the hint..not likely, though. Caller ID shows San Rafael, Ca.
