Who called from 4153250034

Have gotten several calls from this number as well as others that all tell me to call 844-594-0202.  They are saying on the voicemails that they are respresenting a company that is going to file charges on me, basically.   I believe this is part of a scam.  Be weary of these numbers.

Here's what it is.  You (or someone you are related to) has an outstanding debt which has been written off by the original creditor and purchased by these scumbags.  Said scumbags make a living by purchasing stale debt from creditors then hounding the debtor and using unethical tactics such as threats, lying and intimidation to get the debtor to "reaffirm" the debt. What that means is, if the statute of limitations has run on your debt or if your debt has been written off it is not collectible.  However, any debt, even debts written off in bankruptcy, can be revived by the party who owes if that person reaffirms by agreeing to start making payments.  These scumbag companies buy the old debt for virtually nothing then they employ people to contact you at all hours threatening to show up at your door with  a summons, threatening to take your house, etc.  It's all [***].  I have been called hundreds of times and I'm not even the debtor, they are calling for my brother! No matter how many times I tell them he doesn't live with me they don't believe me and I cant get them to stop calling because it's a different person or company every time. They are cockroaches and their business should be illegal.  When they call tell them you want their name and address so that your attorney can send them a cease and desist letter.  Under no circumstances should you agree to make payments.  They are not serving you with a summons, as they have no legal right to do so.  I am an attorney and I flat out told them I know the law. This shut one of them down but another head grew in that one's place.   Insane.
