My company received the same email. We do sell roller chain, frequently to construction companies; they use a lot of it in heavy equipment applications. After quoting 10', he comes back and askes for 200', quite the nice order. Then he provides a SWISS address and an email for a freight company to use for a quote.

However, the freight service doesn't come up on Google, the construction co. doesn't come up on Google, and the USPS doesn't recognize the address. Neither does Google maps, btw. I actually talked to the guy, but it's pretty clear this is some kind of scam. It's not as if the Swiss can't get good roller chain locally.

Same phone number, 415-325-2158, and returned a message left on that number. Beware.

I got the same msg. I quoted no problem. cash with the order jajaj I don't see how can they scam us. they bring cash and I will give them the chain. as simple as that.

Same here. Looking for an electric motor but research found their company does not exist. Funny: I smelled something wrong right away.

Same email same SOP....wanted to export parts to Switzerland on a credit card but the freight forwarder required a W/T to the tune of $3850....nice try
