Called me about 2 weeks ago but just found this site tonight. Luckily my phone was on silent otherwise I would have been pissed. Called me around 4am and had just started falling asleep when the phone lit up. Guessing one of my buddies thought it would be fun -.-
I did not recognize the name or the number so let it go to voicemail.
Then I remembered I had used the free trial at wakerupper.com to remind myself of a meeting.
Since I was expecting the caller ID to say "waker upper" or something like that, I totally ignored this.
So this really backfired because I did not recognize the name or number and missed my reminder.
Luckily it will not repeat because it was only a free trial.
If someone signs up your number for an account, they only get 10 calls before they have to pay. So it will eventually end. Also if you pick up, you get the chance to cancel future calls by listening to the prompts at the very end of the message.
Got a call from this number at 3:45 a.m.. I did not request it and forget about it, like some person suggests 'we' might have done. Services like this should NOT be allowed to be anonymously added to people's phone numbers without some level of verification that person is ACTUALLY requesting it. How can 'we' shut down services like this which don't require proper verification, and therefore are obviously more of a nuisance and tool for aiding in telephone harassment than a legitimate service?
