these people called me today scare the light out of me today i was going to be arrested at my job if i didn't play my loan of 182.00 i went to wall mart to purchase a money pak will the guy was on the phone. His name was Attoney Russell
Called and stated I had a loan due form some where in the last 10 years. wanted 400.00 to settle it now they want 2300.00 more. What is going on. they can not provide me with any information on when the loan was made or when payment was missed.
I received a message marked urgent from the phone number (916)282-3129. The man had a heavy Indian accent and I did not understand what he was he was saying. When I called him back he told me he was an attorney and that his name was David Cooper. He said I was being sued and had 3 charges against me for a payday loan I had taken out. I asked what the name of the specific payday place was an he said he could only give me the parent company name. He said I had 30 minutes to pay or else he was going to submit my paper work to the sheriff department so I can be arrested. I freaked out and I told him I would come up with the money. He had my personal info such as the last four digits of my SS number. I called the local police department and I was told I could be arrested. So i freaked out even more. He said I would be contacted by the Sherifffs Department. When my phone rang it was the emergency number with the cross and 911 on it. I believed it even more. He was very aggressive in threating me and saying I would be in jail for a long time. I was so scared that I paid him 480.00. When I come home my sister in law has done some research and i found this web site. They called me from number (415)329-3628. Beware of David Cooper and Russel Miller they gave me their license number as 190206 and their address as 904 H St. Sacramento, California.
Attempted to scam me as well--same David Cooper, claiming he was an attorney and wanted to speak to my attorney. Also said there were warrants out for my arrest for bank fraud and unpaid payday loans (which I did not have any!). When I told Mr. Cooper I was recording our conversation, a loud screeching noise was followed by silence...I have reported them to the FTC and my state department of consumer protection. I was not happy they contacted my employer, stating they had a 'legal' matter.
