As with everyone else, when I called, an Indian man answered. I questioned him a few times about telling me what my personal info was, cause he called me. So he should know at least some of my personal info if he's IRS. Right? He didn't stay on the phone very long!
Returned a call from my message machine. Woman answered and said her name was Mary Jones with the IRS . Gave a badge number. I told her the IRS usually tries to deliver notices by mail. She Ais they tried to deliver in June 3 Rd and July 16. I told her that I would call the post office. The post office said they did not try to deliver and had nothing for me. The postmaster took the phone number and is now investigating the scam.
Claiming I need to call back before they take action... literally no idea what they are talking about. Spend one weekend in SF and you get a bogus IRS call lol
They leave messages that they are from IRS and it is very urgent to call them back. When you call they tell you that you owe back taxes, they have sent you several letters and you didn't respond. So they are taking you to court. If you are not paying immediately then the police officer will come to your house and serve you the court papers. Con artists. Have Indian accent. People beware.
