Caller didn't leave a message on my machine and the caller id said "Out of Area" which usually means telemarketer/scammer. So I ran 3 reverse traces using 3 different types of traces and all were blocked for a person or business name and the only information was a general location of San Francisco, California using a service provider of PAC-WEST Telecomm Inc. This is definitely a scammer that is spoofing numbers (such as 415-358-1269) and phishing for personal information while running some scam ( i.e. Police Association or Law Enforcement Charity etc. ). A legitimate business would never hide their identity and location from the public by blocking a trace. DON'T ANSWER AND DO NOT CALL BACK FOR ANY REASON. Block and report to the proper authorities. Phone companies should be held responsible for these types of calls since they are making money from them by providing the systems and services that these scammers use.
Cid Of out of area. No reason to expect a call from area code 415. Blocked. Almost 400 numbers now blocked and frequency of unwanted calls is greatly reduced.
