My police said for everyone to write down the telephone numbers and google them and then take them to your police and they can try to help by finding out the main source of the problem. But I do know there was a class action suite against a few companies in 2008 and an Attorney told me that there are two companies out there that are send false company names out and putting a few letters behind them so they know what companies are each ones. That is one cituation I got caught up in lost 2500 at that time.
Called me and boyfriend answered and told him that he was Officer Adam and that there is a case against my name and social security number and my boyfriend told him I wasn't here. They try to scare you into sending them money because when you talk to them they tell you that you didn't pay a loan or something back and they will go for an agreement for a certain amount so please watch that because they do scare you sometimes that the police maybe coming to your house just so you will pay. I reported all this stuff to my police department and Attorney General's Office to try to get this to stop.

I received a call from this number today.....one of many over the last 3 months. I've tried dialing the number back and kept getting one automated response after the other. Each one led me deeper and
deeper into the system -- a run around. Finally I got a person and demanded they stop calling. That person identified himself by first name and a completely different company (debt solutions was on my
called ID) He told me he had no idea how I got to him, he just answered the phone. I said you answer
the phone whenever someone follows the prompts in the original call....just like I did. You know exactly
how calls get to you, but you have a script to follow. You'll get fired if you don't follow it. So I don't expect to ever get the truth from you, but you can deliver a message......DO NOT CALL MY NUMBER ANYMORE! My number is xxx-xxx-xxxx. It's your responsibility to take my number out of your system, That was my action about 3 weeks ago.
Since then, the calls from Debit Solutions stopped until today. (I used to get a call about every other day). Today, when I again received a call from that number, I answered the phone and immediately hung-up. Then I picked up my phone, hit the caller ID directory on my phone, and pressed the talk button which automatically calls the number back. This time a recorded message answered that said "You have reached the Debt Solutions removal line. Enter the 10-digit phone number that you want removed."
I thought to myself AHAA!!!! This is an entirely different response. I don't think for a minute that my demanding them to take my number off the list did any good. But the fact that when I call the number back this time, it provided a removal method....yippee, That means to me, that there's a legal action that has worked. Sooo, if you're still getting those calls, and they don't have a legitimate reason for contacting you, just try calling that number back again, like I did.
I entered my number. The message said "thank you". Now I'll just wait and see what happens.
