Pretty much the same here. A few differences, however:
1. My caller was a guy with a French accent who I could barely understand.
2. When I first answered, he said that the shipping would be "seven to ten days" because "our company is located in Phoenix, Arizona", yet he's calling with a San Francisco phone number.
3. When I first answered and he got to that bit about asking for a credit card number and I said repeatedly(after him stubbornly insisting) that I don't have one, he said that he would speak to a supervisor who would call me back in "15 to 20 minutes". That call ended at 5: 14 and I got called back at 6: 55. It was the exact same French guy who repeated to me the same stuff at the beginning of the previous call as if we never spoke before. But, suddenly a "$500 voucher" became a "$500 gift card" and the $1. 95 shipping fee became $2. 95.
How do they know my full name, address and phone number???
Same as everyone else is saying, SPL Deals keeps calling and calling, wont stop when asked several times and told many more times were not interested in anything we won or otherwise, they just keep calling, every hour all day long today since noon 6 calls and the 7th just now around 7pm. I just added this cell number to the National Do Not Call Registry (Google it, its free to register your numbers up to 3 at a time from their online form) but it takes at least 31 days that your number must be on there before you can file a complaint or you can file a complaint if you received a call that used a recorded message instead of a live person (whether or not your number was on the Registry).
*Even if your number is registered, charities, political organizations, and telephone surveyors may continue to call you. Companies with which you do business may also continue to call, unless you have asked them to stop calling you. If you have asked them to stop calling, please keep a record of the date you made the request and include that information in the comment section of any complaint you submit against that company.
Debt collectors may also continue to call you whether your number is on the Registry or not.
Regardless I am pissed my husband and I work nights and sleep days and these people just keep calling and disturbing us all hours of the day and night. Turning off the phone or the ringer is not an option because he uses his phone for work and emergencies, why have it! How are some of you able to block numbers from calling your cell phones? I don't think our service allows us to do such a thing!
i' ve been able to trace this call to a cell phone connected to a magic jack computer line and am reporting the illegal activity being done by this person or company. now if this person keeps calling me then i'll use that magic jack connection to crash thier computer system
