They call with a munged up call display of %224153660714%22. The %22 is a control character. Regardles of that trivia they are bottom dwelling information stealing hacks trying to spam you with crap you don't want. I always play them the 10 hour air raid siren video I found on YouTube. They seem to hate that.
I received a call from this number and the phone rang once and they hung up. I got this call a minute after 765-507-3590 called me. Are the two numbers related?
Indian accent fellow tried to reach for some lady at our office calling my desk number; when I asked which company he is looking to call - He mentioned some Lee Software or Reed Software which I couldn' understand clearly. I clarified this is not the company he is looking to reach and I put off the phone after he tried to bring the best of his polite-accent saying "Sorry for the trouble" with a hesitating tone.
His questions and tone for some reason didn't seem to match well; Googled and came to this thread. It sounds to me as if some one at India is applying for some job put my number as US-reference - the company reaches out to some cheapo background check company who uses this single US line making phony calls letting them judge based on their call-observations.
Had this number blocked with my IT to prevent additional nuisance.
Could not identify accent of caller, CID showed Belvedere CA. There was a momentary silence indicate of a transfer from a robo-dialer to the man who then asked for the owner of the company. Interestingly, as S noted above, this was immediately followed by another B-S call for the owner of the company but from an entirely different number than the other noted there. So many scum and scammers, impossible to track them all.
Our main office number was called multiple times after hours. I was working late and got tired of the repeated ringing, so I answered the phone. A British-sounding man said "Hello, is this Robert?" to which I answered yes. Then he asked "Robert Thompson?" I said no, nobody by that name works here. He said thank you and hung up. Caller Company: No idea, just the number came up in caller ID, which really doesn't mean anything since caller ID numbers can be easily spoofed.
WHAT I FIND UNUSUAL ABOUT REPORTED CALLS FROM THIS NUMBER IS THAT THE RANDOM PERSONS WHO ANSWER THESE CALLS HAVE THE EXACT FIRST NAME THAT THE CALLER ASKS FOR ! ! !
WHEN THE CALLER PROVIDES A LAST NAME FOR THE PERSON HE IS LOOKING FOR, IT IS NOT THE SAME AS THE PERSON WHO ANSWERS.
WHAT'S UP WITH THAT? FBI, CIA, NSA, Anti-Christian, who knows? The only way someone might now that I'm the last one in the building who can answer the phone would be through the trail I leave on the Internet. I think people would never go on the internet again for the rest of their lives if they knew how much information is collected about them from the bread crumbs left behind. Personally, I'm not too concerned about it, as I am only doing my job and living a normal life.
