This is a SCAM. Just as much of a scam Congress invented with the DNC Registry, to make it look as if they give a crap
about you getting unsolicited garbage calls all hours of the day and night. Show me proof the DNC Registry ever prosecuted a single phone-scammer or put them out of business. Show me evidence that the DNC Registry actually exists, or has a staff. It's a server the government authorized to shut people up about phone-scammers. The server sits in a basement somewhere in DC collecting info it has no intention of doing anything with. It was invented to get people off their backs about the problem. It solves NOTHING. It will so0lve NOTHING. Or did you think that Congress is something of the people, by the people and for the people? WAKE UP! Congress serves itself only, NOTHING MORE. Get rid of these clowns and get some real people into office.

It is evident that your understanding of the DNC list is sadly lacking.
The DNC list does not automatically block calls. Instead, it provides a list of "do not call" phone numbers to legitimate telemarketers who pay a fee for the list.
The DNC list exempts political callers, survey organizations, charities and companies with preexisting business relationships, but these organizations might have their own, internal Do Not Call list (ask them).
The DNC list is not effective against criminals, spammers and scammers, because those people do not subscribe to the DNC list, and do not care if you are on or off that list.
Its purpose is to stop calls from legitimate telemarketers, and it does a pretty good job at that.
