11/05 15:06 Tried again, a little earlier in the day this time, but one of many calls today from unknown people. I am getting less and less charitable lately. Not sure what the call type is, would guess may be request for donations.
We gave money to this group for years (Breast Cancer Survivor's Fund),
then we checked them out on the site that shows the info on their tax filings.
As I recall, they were spending almost 90% of every dollar they received on 'FUND RAISING'.
If someone calls I ask them if, 1) they are a paid caller, and 2), what percent of funds go to the program.
The state of Washington has a great consumer agency that gives you the links for checking tax filings.
