Scam artists, claim that you owe money from a cash advance from years ago. Was given the decision to pay $600 or go to jail. I of course paid the money under extreme pressure, but now found out that it was a scam. I didn't remember never paying back a cash advance, however I did remember taking one out years ago, so I though maybe it is legitimate as they had all of my information including SS#. They then demanded that a copy of my drivers license and personal information be faxed to them. I have alerted all of the appropriate authorities, and I'm not just waiting for my dispute to be approved through the bank. Until then I'm out $600, the company that I got my advance from years ago was no longer in business and the company that took over had absolutely no record of it at all. I'm sure that I paid the money back, but I'm unsure on how this place got all of my information.
