Obviously a scammer, with a message that the a "process server was going to file a lein on the property." (Process servers don't do that). And that we had two days to call back. She said her name was Pat Allen who does "arbitration and litigation for the county." (Didn't say she was a lawyer, so she's not. And nobody does "arbitration and litigation" for the county, sheesh!). Problem is, she was calling from California, and we live in Iowa, so she doesn't work for the county. Said if we called back by Tuesday, she'd "order a federal stand down" (I'm a lawyer, trust me, that is totally meaningless verbage). And how is this a federal action if she's working for the county? Some scammer, for certain. Not calling back. Her call back number was listed as 888-508-1072.
