Called and said she was from the sustainable energy program. I told her not to call again. She called back immediately, and I didn't pick up thanks to caller ID. When she called again a minute later, I picked up and asked, "What do you want?" She called me a [***], I hung up, and I haven't heard from her again.
A better alternative than telling them not to call is just hanging up on them. Doing that often brings the same results you received. To many of them, saying that is about like saying F U since they know you're not buying their pitch. Especially with foreigners and you can often figure out who's having tough luck depending on how quick they are to blow their cover. They hate that along with not getting any kind of answer from the numbers they call.
I live in a/c 415. We have doctors in Novato. My wife answered the phone and they were selling solar. Dialed number back and , surprise , the number is disconnected. I would like to be able to block a/c 415 but I can't.
