I received a text from an email address asking me to respond by email for a phone I was selling on Gumtree. He asked for my final asking price and offered to pay with shipping to Nigeria. I told him I would have to confirm the shipping cost but he assured me it was what he had stated. He probably had been buying and shipping phones from the UK to Nigeria then. Anyway, the Nigeria bit was suspicious so I decided to lag on the whole transaction. I had the email from
[email protected] to confirm he had transferred the said amount and they wanted the tracking number before sending me the cash. This happened just last night and he's been pestering me to find out if I have shipped the phone but I'm ignoring his emails. I have sent the email from
[email protected] to confirm although I know straight away that its a fraud. Lets be on the look out for such people.
