I got a call from this number, I automatically just let it go to voicemail as I never answer numbers I don't know, and I am on the do not call list. The number left a voicemail saying it was IRS officer Nikki Johnson and I was being sued for back taxes from 2010 and 2011, I knew from that point on this was a scam, I didn't even file taxes until 2014, which was my first year working. Ignore all calls from this number. The IRS will never contact via phone, always the mail and I would assume it wouldn't be a robo voice.
Today, I like Lee above, received a robo call from #415-413-3041 saying she was officer .... of the IRS. and I or my Attorney must call back due to a time sensitive mater on my taxes... It didn't sound like it would be something the IRS would do, so I decided to search for IRS scams and I found this site. It is so sad that this is the world we are leaving our children and grandchildren. :-(. I can only hope all that receive this call do the same we have done and ignore the call. A phone call will never be the first method of contact to anyone from the IRS, they will send you a regular mail, and even then, I would never call the number on the letter, I will call the IRS directly and question the letter before I say anything. Happy Easter everyone.
I received a voice message earlier today from this number, and it was a female robovoice call telling me that the IRS needed me to call them about an issue with my taxes. I know that the IRS has a toll-free number so based on the phone number area code I was sure it was a scam, and after reading the earlier posts I know that it is. Do not give these people the satisfaction of calling them back!
