Caller said they were from Google checking facts said that my listing was inconsistent when they asked me a couple questions they just hung up I have a feeling they were just scanning for information possibly an SEO company checking to see how people list themselves not sure I called back and it was just an answering machine or voicemail.
This is a SCAMMER….these people are telemarketers trying to scam you, they are NOT Google. Do NOT press any buttons, just hang up & BLOCK them. Google will not:
1) Place automated sales calls
2) Ask you to update your front-page listing or claim your free website
3) Ask you to pay to be included in Google Search or Google My Business
ALSO NOTE The only reason the REAL Google would be calling you is if YOU called or contacted them first & they will supply you with a PIN Code!
Called me today(9/16/16) The recorded message even had the YP representative's first name that I am currently working with. They wanted $500 upfront money and $300/mo after. After a few questions to him, I realized this was an obvious scam and when I asked for the company name again I was hung up on mid sentence. Redialed and got generic OGM voicemail. WOW, what criminals.
