Heh, I'm registered with Lyft as a driver as well and got this call just now. My answering machine apparently confused them. Lyft will not ask you for info over the phone; you're either responsible for uploading it yourself, or the information will be gathered by your Lyft interviewer when they first check out your car, so don't give them any info. If they need updates, they'll usually email you instead (still, don't answer it--just sign in on your app or at the website like you would with any other suspicious call so you know you're actually talking to Lyft). The number is generic and used to mask our numbers so patrons can't track us down on our private phones (which we use during work). And they will be local, not out of CA if you're in a different state. I'd say report it to your local guys so that they can contact the main group and let them know there's a spoofing/scam going on. That's what I intend to do.
