Unavailable id, picked up and got some metal sound and on second hello and long pause (typical) someone with authoritative voice, like the calls I get from policemans charity, said my name is Eric- then hung up by reflex, I get too many calls like this. Looks like I did the right thing.
It was a man from the Fraternal Order of Police Officers *cough-scam-cough*), but he really wasn't a man. The telemarketers use recordings of sentences and, depending on what you say, will loop it to the next sentence they want said. I kept asking him/the computer to repeat what he said and he did, word for word, voice inflection for voice inflection. Never say "yes" or "no" on any of these kinds of calls. If you have time, waste their long distance time by asking IT questions. Like "Could you repeat that?", "Why do you have to mail it?", "How do you spell that?",, or "Why won't you answer my last question?". By the way, if you ask them to spell something, it loops them to the end of their script.
