Yet more spam to the cell phone. This one in the form of 3 texts"from" HSBC. The past 3 -4 months have been nothing but spam to the cell. Time to shut it off.
I am the legal owner of the number 415 494-2854.
On Tuesday the 24th of April, our phone server was hacked and our phone numbers moved to a pre-recoreded answer machine asking for people's cc info.
It took us a few hours to realize this had happen.
We have since filed a police report to try to resolve it.
Please - do not call the numbers or leave your CC numbers to anyone who can not identify themselves.
Received a text message April 27, 2012 from 917-527-5624. It said: "H.S.B.C Notice. Please calll 415 494 2854" I do not plan on calling. Thank you to all who have posted on this and all the other scams from unknown phone numbers. (I also ignore any calls that identify the caller as "Unavailable" or "Restricted".)
Everyone - we are the legal owners of the number mentioned in the text.
Our phone service was handled by Vitelity http://www.vitelity.com/ but through them, our servers got hacked and someone is sending out this scam.
We're not getting any response or resolution from Vitelity so please be aware of this company.
We apologize about this - please keep reporting on these texts.
We have also filed a police report and will probably have to cancel our phone number because of all this.
