This Ed Burkhart person just tried to purchase my sons truck sight unseen, when my son put the check for 2000 in his account it came back as a fraudulent check.
The same guy who identified himself also as Ed Burkhart just texted me regarding a mower I had posted on Craigslist. Anytime people get a message from a long distance number like that, they need to learn to Google it and check them out. It stops the scammers dead in their tracks! Also, be sure to post when you get a text to help alert others!
Yes, just now got a text, said consider it sold. Send me your name and address and I wil send a certified check and once it clears then I will send out a delivery person to pick up the Saddle. I said cash only. Then I looked up his name and phone number and found this. So thank you all for posting this fraudant persons info to warn others. Thank you.
Yes, the exact same thing happened to me. We advertised on Craig's list and the supposed Mr. Ed Burkhart pulled the same scam. Thank goodness we caught the fraudulent check and stopped it prior to sending this criminal our items for sale.
Do not do business with this guy, he is a crook and needs to be incarcerated as soon as possible.
