I got the same recorded call from so called Officer Julie smith from IRS yesterday. And prior to that about 10 from a man with broken english, can't remember his names. Has several.
I got three voice mails, two without any accent and one with a heavy foreign accent. All claimed I am a tax cheat, a criminal case against me is pending, and I must call back. I called back. The guy who answered was difficult to understand, his accent was strange. I thought my cordless phone was bad. So I put him on hold. Got the second cordless phone with fully charged battery.
I reconnected him on my second cordless phone. Instead of silence, I hear him talk in Arabic (I speak so-so Arabic). He was making fun of me to someone, to his colleague I guess. I finally cut in, and said hello. Then I told him that he is scam, because I understood what he said in Arabic. He started yelling at me, partly in English and partly in Arabic, then threatened me, and said he and his friends will beat me and rape me.
This is obviously not IRS, but Islamic terrorists scamming people.
