Just a thought: your caller says he's a private lender from Ontario, and yet he's using a California phone number??
If you are actually in Canada, this link might help you: http://www.consumerhandbook.ca/en/topics/financial/payday-lending
As an aside, I checked to see if I could find any information about the number. This is what phonevalidator.com says:
Phone Company: BANDWIDTH.COM - POSSIBLE GOOGLE VOICE OR OTHER VIRTUAL PHONE NUMBER
Phone Location: SAN FRANCISCO, CA
Whitepages.com says:
1-415-508-7916
Bandwidth.com VoIP in San Francisco, CA
VoIP could be anyone, anywhere, and if the number is spoofed, that should be another red flag as to the legitimacy of the caller.
This ask me to send him a money gram for a process fee for. $700.00 for a loan he going to give me, why not take it out the loan I ask him, he told me he counld'nt do that, that I have to send him a money gram, no way Jesus do talk to me.
