This is a B2B lead gen call center. They get people on the phone, tell them about a whitepaper, then send it to them. The company then turns around and charges their client $50-$120+ per lead that they send the whitepaper to. Total scam
I could not understand a word he (Indian man) said due to his heavy accent. I did hear IT department. He went on our bogus voice mail line but of course did not leave a message.

We've had 4 calls so far today, different people but all with Indian accents and claiming to be from Dell. They have asked for an IT Analyst and 2 people who do not work for us (and never have). I am assuming it's persistant spam!
Man with Indian accent introducing himself as 'James' asking for my operations director by name. Spelled out surname over the phone, which wasn't necessary. When asked what it was regarding was told 'it's about Dell Optiplex'. I doubt this is a number related to Dell. Told him unable to transfer unsolicited calls and was then asked for my email address. I hung up. Time waster, unprofessional, and amateurish sales call. I' confident number is nothing to do with Dell and assume the people calling are just trying to obtain valid email addresses to put on marketing lists.
