Angry Private Person
WHY can't the Phone company (ATT) put a stop to these nuisance calls especially when we have anonymous call rejection? This outfit has been calling all evening but won't leave a message.
It's probably more of that crummy robo-calling about some junk they want on the ballot.
STOP BOTHERING US! OUR NUMBER IS PRIVATE & UNLISTED & YOU HAVE NO RIGHT TO HARASS PEOPLE LIKE THIS.

Robo dialers or computers can't tell the difference since they are set up to consecutively dial numbers. Political calls are exempt from the DNC as a ROT. However, they can still get into trouble if they do not place you on their internal DNC list. Same goes for some survey's and Charity calls, though Oregon does not allow charity calls via the state DNC.

This takes a bit of foot work on your part, but if you don't want political calls, you need to contact the parties involved and tell them DNC your number. Then, if you get calls for the candidates, go to their web sites, the contact us page and tell them directly!   It may not stop all of them, but will stop the majority of the political calls. There are some rogues out there, some got into trouble already for the non stop calling garbage.

Do consider maybe getting a call blocking device or phone.. You can google them and many are around $40.00 or less. If its a cell phone, some already have call blocking, if not, there are free apps on the web that will work for some. You can google this. If you have a smart phone, there is a free app called call control. Iphones appear to have apps also. Another one is called Mr. Number.

Report your callers here if they continue to call and harass:
