Scammers! This (fake) "organization" has been calling off and on for 15 years. The phone numbers they use appear to be spoofed or burner phones so it's a waste of time to research where you think the call is coming from (based on the number appearing on your call display). They change number extremely frequently so blocking their number doesn't last long - they just continue calling using different numbers. They never leave messages but if you do talk to them they do sound intimidating, and they pressure you hard for "donations" (which probably is quite effective when they're talking to seniors).
I got a call from this number but the person wouldn't speak to my machine. The caller id said 'Wireless Caller'. A reverse trace was blocked for a name and address, but came up with three general cross streets locations in the San Francisco area. No surprise since it is a Cell Phone. Also came up with three shady phone service providers.

3. American Messaging Services, LLC
Anyone who goes to this much trouble to hide and block any tracing is definitely a criminal scammer. No legitimate business hides their identity and address. Block this number and report it to the FTC, FCC, State Attorney General so there is a record of its usage. It's time to make the shady phone service providers responsible for allowing this to happen by either selling them the phone numbers and/or the system they use to call everyone and blocking their identity and location via a voip system.

Life is too short to try scamming people. Get a real job and stop trying to take advantage of people who may not know any better.
Does it bring them happiness at the end of the day to know they ripped people off? That would be sad if it did. These are people obviously w/issues when it comes to dealing w/people, and prob don't have a lot of friends or relationships, or feel shunned/wronged by society for whatever reason. There are so many good things in life, so it's kind of like they are missing out on those, which seems right considering what they do for a 'living'...
I am sure karma will play a role in their activities too at some point, and it won't be good karma...just well deserved.
They should ask for forgiveness and move on the helping people instead of hurting them. There is enuff bad stuff in the world as it is, and I don't understand why people want to focus their time on contributing to that state of disarray. You wouldn't want to be scammed, so why think it is ok for everyone else to be scammed?
Quit this job and start doing something worthwhile with your life :^)

Says that they are calling from California Fraternal Order of Police. CID on this one was San Rafael CA.
With so many scammers these days, I tend to believe this is one of them, as the real guys have probably given up trying to collect donations via phone calls
