Yes I did receive a call. I was not here and attempted to call back to see who was calling. The call disconnected fast. So, I did not find out. I live in Texas but call came thru from San Francisco, CA. The caller ID info is misspelled. (San Francsco)
Just received call from this number & voice mail--voice sounds like an inebriated woman saying she is Officer Nikki Johnson from the Internal Revenue Service and this is a time sensitive matter. SCAM!!!!! IRS would never call from a CA area code--in fact IRS will not initiate a phone call--they send their correspondence through the USPS with a toll free number to contact them. Blocked the the number--as well as other calls that are scams from CA with the same skank's voice.
I have received multiple calls from this supposed "IRS." The first time I called back I got a busy signal. The second time, instant disconnect. The third time, a woman actually answered. I couldn't understand half of her foreign accent, never really found out what the call was about, and then she hung up on me. They are still calling me....
Same here for me. This is definitely a scam. I once owed back taxes to IRS and believe me they will contact you via certified mail. Plus when you speak to them on the phone the IRS rep will give you their identification number.
