i just received a call from a so called tax collection, from a fred, i know i dont owe any money and my sister asked him some questions like whats ur position at this company because i've never heard of it, and he just said, im a tax collector and i collect taxes, but that was it, i believe this is a scam as well!
I got a voice mail from a person claiming to be "Charlene Hastings" from the Office of Delinquent Revenue of the Tax Treasurer or some nonsense. Said "this is a very important call and you'd better call back" so I did, leaving a message. No way I owe any kind of taxes as I always pay and complete honestly. Be warned, it's got to be a scam. Do not give ANY information over the phone!!

I am for real and I do work for the City & County Tax Treasurer Office. If you would check the Main number for 311 you would know I am legitimate and not some phoney caller. If I needed to reach you it was for a good reason..
Not a scam. She is in fact a real person and just doing her job. Keep in mind she has to collect on accounts that are connected to sometimes very touchy and emotionally charged subjects. It's unfortunate how emergency services fall on the financial responsibility of the ones who needed it, yet often didn't ask for it. And this woman and her team have to collect on it. I don't envy her position but I commend her for doing this for the last 30 years.
