I received the similar call. After going through what they had to say, they offered to fix your computer for a fee. I asked them their contact information and they gave me the number 1-888-342-8379, which I looked up and found to be the number for an Indian tech company called Winnowtech.
Caller asked to speak to me, I told him you got the right person how can I help you? He started talking with heavy accent I told him I could not understand what you are saying. He told go *uck yourself mother*ucker.
My 88 year old mother got a call from this number this morning. The caller (with heavy accent) explained that her computer was sending them a signal that something was wrong. She said "really, my computer is doing that?" He said yes, they would have to fix it. She said "oh that's very interesting because I don't own a computer." He said "oh" and hung up. These scammers are out of control.
4155550128 are calling every three days. I have been polite please stop calling me. This past Sat. I was in the grocery store and stated take me off your like I will need a confirmation number that you did. The person said I am not going to do that, you need to understand. I stated no you need to understand and hung up. Tonight just got another one and once I started not listening there was no one on the other end of the call. I am going to get a whistle and put it by all phones. Maybe then they take me off their list.
