I know I should not get angry but it is infuriating.
The telephone number has been spoofed by the infamous "last opportunity to lower credit card interest" fools. It starts off like it could concern a compromised credit card. I pressed one and an Indian accented voice cheerfully stated Credit Card Services, How are you doing today? I asked him to repeat the name of the company and then asked him how could he live with himself. Blocked.
I noted there was a name in the CID and decided to call it. A gentleman answered and I told him his number had been spoofed. He knew there was a problem and said he was unable to sleep because the phone was ringing off the hook. I asked if there was an emergency where he had to keep the phone on and he said no. I suggested he turn off the ringer and put in voicemail advising what happened then review the CID so he could return calls he wanted.
He was bewildered and could not understand why this happened to him.
This is why you do not call back the number with an attitude because it could be an innocent victim. Wow
Kerry Lofton called from San Francisco. Guess she wanted to talk. Too far for me to go visit so I blocked her number. Sounds like a great looking blonde.
