Just received a call from 415-592-5355. Didn't answer. No message left.
Last week received a call from 415-683-7142 and it was a computer recording for a reminder that a Verizon Wireless account is past due. Many years ago I helped someone set up a new Verizon Wireless account and named myself as the contact in case the account became past due. This is a service to help the elderly and folks who may have a hard time remembering to pay their bills. It's not about collections, more of a reminder system.
Didn't answer the call from 415-592-5355 today as it's probably a second round of recordings. I don't keep in contact with the person whose account they are calling.
I did not flag this as a debt collector because it is a courtesy reminder call and not a collection call. The collection call would go to the financially responsible party.
These a**holes keep calling and interrupting on both my cell and landline...apparently for my 22 yr old son's bill. Very annoying. I've been with ATT for over a decade, and while they are certainly less than perfect, they aren't annoying. Had a Verizon acct for 2 years with an employer issued netbook (remember those??) and they were horrid to deal with. Don't think I'd use them if they offered me a $10.00 per line unlimited usage !!!!
Constant calls in the last month from 415.683.7008, then 415.683.7416, then 415.592.5355! All researched from the same building on Onondaia St S.F. near Balboa Park. All researched as suspicious spam telemarketing! First time I answered they wanted to solicit social security disibility! I never answered since then...
I'm not sure if these numbers are a scam. I had my daughter move her number to my account and sadly we didn't receive a closing bill so we were late on a payment because of that. I received a late payment bill and I took it straight to Verizon and scolded them because I don't like making late payments. The Supervisor looked into the account and said we were ok as long as we paid it in full within the next 30 day's. All of a sudden we started getting phone calls from 1-415-683-7008 and 1-415-592-5355 saying they were Verizon calling about a late payment. They sounded very odd on the phone saying things like "Well I can't open your account up at the moment." etc. They called March 30 at 9:27 a.m. 10:30 a.m. the 31st at 8:13 a.m. They are rude and unprofessional. I personally don't think it's Verizon but I really don't know. I am blocking these numbers on my phone and I have already reported this to the Verizon location where I live.
