They have a recording that calls you and if you push "1" it connects you to an operator. They call themselves "Carpet Care" out of SF. I have tried to get through and have them take me off their automatic call list (they call at least once a week). Every time I've asked for their name and where they are located, the operator (Jennifer) hung up on me. I had to pretend to want their services to get their phone number and her name.
I would suggest noting the date, time and company who calls. Get a specific employee name if possible. Inform them calmly that they are in violation of federal law and that you will exercise your legal right to sue them for $500 per call if they continue to contact you. Also, inform them that you are filing a complaint with the Federal Trade Commission, and make sure to follow-up on that. You can file a complaint online:

I hade very similar results. Asked many time for them to quit calling. Computer generated calls are illegal for solicitations. I am on the “do not call” list. Had to pretend to want an appointment They gave the name as Carpet Care. They gave me the phone number 415 632 0728 which is not working and an address of 467 Columbia Street, San Francisco which does not show as a real business address. Their caller id shows private. As soon as I said that I did not want an appointment, but instead wanted to talk about removing my name, the operator hung up an me.
