I don’t answer anymore unless I start receiving a legitimate message. (My answering machine does ask for a message to be left, but these scammers never leave a live one.) I never call back because tells them when you are home. Block the number. Get yourself a Panasonic phone system that blocks 250 numbers. A system with 3 handsets is about $100. Check Amazon.com for one. A nice feature is when these losers do call back; there is no ring to irritate you.
Called cell phone today. Left no voicemail. A legitimate caller will leave a message with their name,company name and valid call back number. If they hang up they are rude, unprofessional, poor business people, telemarketers or scammers. None of which I care to waste my time with. If I don't answer I can't be scammed!!! If all people would ignore these calls or block these calls it would not be profitable for them. They rely on their sales ability to profit from seniors, gullible people, undereducated, vulnerable, etc. and obviously it works often enough for them to continue. If you don't recognize the number don't answer!!!
